o the Thamud people… This she-camel of Allah is a sign unto you: So let her graze on Allah’s earth and do not let her come to any harm, or you will be seized by a terrible punishment.

（我確已派遣）賽莫德人的弟兄撒立哈去教化他們，他說：「我的宗族啊！你們要崇拜真主，除他之外，絕無應受你們崇拜的。從你們的主發出的明証確已降臨你們，這隻真主的母駝可以作你們的蹟象。故你們讓牠在真主的大地上隨便吃草，不要傷害牠，否則，痛苦的刑罰必襲擊你們。」（古蘭經7：73）

Then they ham-strung the she-camel and insolently defied the order of their Lord… so the earthquake took them unawares and they lay prostrate in their homes in the morning.

他們宰了那隻母駝，違抗他們主的命令，他們並說：「撒立哈啊！你把你用來警告我們的刑罰拿來給我們看看吧，如果你是使者的話！」於是，霹靂襲擊了他們，一旦之間，他們都僵臥在各人的家裡。（古蘭經7：77）

The Thamud rejected their Warners.
賽莫德人否認過警告，（古蘭經54：23）
For we sent the she-camel as a trial for them.
